Natural Progress

Tai Chi Chuan - Qigong - Massage - Pressure Point Therapies

Natural Progress provides programs and individual training in various forms of Tai Chi Chuan for health purposes; Qigong energy exercises [pronounced “chee-gung”]; and self-care using acupressure, massage and myofascial trigger point techniques. I began teaching Tai Chi in 1999 and focus, as did my teachers, on old forms such as Eight Pieces of Brocade qigong, Lao (old) Yang Style, Lao (old ) Chen Style, and the family form called Secret Yang. This training has a direct lineage to the Yang family. To make Tai Chi more available to a broader population, I have explored and provided instruction in Dr. Paul Lam’s program of  Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention since 2006 based on Sun Style Tai Chi.

My bodywork practice (since 2002) emphasizes my training in Asian acupressure techniques and Western modalities of pressure point and myofascial therapies. I am proud to hold a Diplomate from the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Asian Bodywork Therapy and certification by the National Association for Myofascial Trigger Point Therapists.

My recent certifications include Tai Chi for Osteoporosis (July, 2017) and Yang Family Secret Style Tai Chi (November 2017).
